Polonyna. Проживання в садибі на полонині

Привіт! Hello! Hallo!

We loved so much our first trip to Ukrainian Carpathian mountains that we decided to go there once more after a few weeks. We were on Hoverla that time. This time we stayed in eco-apartment on mountain meadow. It’s called Carpathian polonyna. We walked in pine forest, eat berries, looked at beautiful landscapes around and climbed a mountain by car 🙂

We divided our group : men were picking mushrooms in forest with ve-ery high pines, women were collecting berries in smaller forest)

There are forest raspberries, blackberries and blueberries in this place

Carpathian forest raspberry is very small but very sweet.

It takes much time to collect berries in forest) But we were having a rest there. We also tasted forest wild strawberries.

Then we visited another part of forest, driving a few kilometres by car.

When our group has gathered together we climbed one mountain by car.

Was it easier to walk in mountains by car? Well, some part of a route it was, but then driver went first and the others after him 🙂

That top of Carpathian mountain seemed to be so close. But we spent one hour to reach it and to have a rest there 🙂

Some people lived in a tent on this mountain.

You can spend a night in a tent on this mountain.

You can see forests and mountains on one side and mountain meadows among forests just opposite.

Then we came back to our rented eco-apartment. In Ukrainian Carpathians it’s called sadyba.

These small wooden fences with flowers are very nice.

Bigger great waterfall you can see in Yaremche. It’s small town on the way to Carpathians.

And of cause you should make a stop near Dnister. It’s one of the biggest river in Ukraine and Europe.

Carpathians are great and beautiful. Do Ukrainians often visit Carpathian mountains? At least once a year – that’s for sure 🙂 Some people like more winter Carpathians, others prefer summer rest. I like these mountains in all seasons. But more often we travel there in summer.

This mountain system is located not only in Ukraine, but also in Poland, Slovakia and Romania.
